One of the largest supplier and manufacturer of autoclaves in the UK, Eschmann Holdings offer the popular “Little Sister & SES” brand names.
Many practitioners will be familiar with these machines as many are in use in dental, veterinary and podiatry practices, as well as NHS departments across the country.
Eschmann autoclaves are known for their reliability and price! they have the largest servicing backup of any UK company with excess of 40 engineers covering the country.
3. Excel Healthcare
Based in Essex Excel Healthcare have been supplying cost effective autoclaves for over twenty years.
The current range of autoclaves the “Enigma” range offer the cost conscious practitioner an ideal choice.
Available from a range of podiatry supplies companies including Excel healthcare direct, Trycare and Just care podiatry.
Excel are also the only company to offer a rental scheme for their machines.
4. Euronda
An Italian company based in Vicenza, founded in 1975 with a long history in the supply of high quality autoclaves.
Euronda autoclaves have previously been sold into the UK by Algeos. Their autoclave brand “Pro System” includes the E8, E9 & E10 machines.
5. MDS
Trading for over 10 years MDS have a wide range of autoclaves and decontamination solutions and equipment.
A UK company based in Corby Northamptonshire, MDS are a leading established supplier in a wide range of sectors including the Podiatry market. MDS machines are also sold by UK’s leading Podiatry Supplier- Canonbury Products Ltd.
6. Medisafe
An all round medical decontamination company, Medisafe used to offer two machines for a private practice setting as well as a range of washer disinfection units for larger practice and sterilization departments.
The company no focus on their washer, ultrasonic and sonic irrigation units.
Known for producing the worlds first “Sonic Irrigator” Medisafe are an established UK company with a good reputation.
7. Melag
German firm Melag are one of the most expensive choices in the market but can claim over 60 years experience in the market.
Currently supplied direct through Algeos. The Melag machines offer exceptional quality. Sold into over 20 countries.
Available in a range of sizes including 7, 9 ,18ltr versions. Support and backup for Melag machines may not be countrywide.
8. Newmed
Italian manufacturer Midmark Newmed offer a range of high quality autoclaves.
The machines are serviced through authorised agent Dentalex Medical who sell their machines through a distribution agreement with Canonbury Products.
The 6ltr Speedy N is not only one of the quickest machines on the market, it’s also one of the most reliable.
9. Nova Tech International
Originally supplied through podiatry trade supplier Algeos, the novatech range of autoclaves are very similar to the Enigma in look, appearance and operation.
Machines available are the vacuum 8ltr & 12ltr “B” types. Since publication this brand no longer seems to be offered by Algeos.
It is unsure if backup and support and parts will continue to be offered.
10. Prestige Medical
Prestige Medical Ltd will be a well known names to many podiatry practices.
They’re the manufacturer of one of the most recognisable machines to smaller private practices the Prestige Medical Classic.
The machines have recently been upgraded and sub categorised into various markets including Podiatry, Veterinary and Medical.
Prestige are widely considered to be the second largest Autoclave supplier to the UK podiatry market.
